Brenda donates part of her salary to the local children's hospital each month by having $15 deducted from her monthly paycheck. Write an integer to represent the deduction recorded on each paycheck. Find an integer to represent the change in the amount of money in Brenda's paycheck after 1.5 years.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

As it's a deduction, integer to represent deduction on each paycheck =\(\large -15\)

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@S.kumar do you get this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I get it but what about the second question

OpenStudy (ash2326):

As it's a deduction, to represent it by integer we'll use - sign. The pay check will come out like this: Basic Pay= $6800 House Allowance= $1200 Donation deduction= -$15 Total Payable Amount=$7985

OpenStudy (ash2326):

It's easy just find first the total amount she donates in 1.5 years or 18 months. so it'll be \(15\times 18=?\) just represent this as an integer in the pay check, like we did for the first part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh thank you very much!

OpenStudy (ash2326):

did you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes of course.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

good:D
