I see some members like @bahrom7893 @angela210793 with ~2000 medals and a lot of questions answered. My question here is I completed my 99 at 1500-1600 medals. Is it that they made it easier for the newer members?

i think the reason behind it is that the members you mentioned were inactive during your rise..since SS is a relative score, and they were inactive for a while then their SS is low. but if you are hyperactive in the site then i guess that contribute to your becoming 99.

this is just my thought though

mine got more than half...i think i had 1000+ medals before then it went down to around 400

Yeah, you definitely had it way easier than we had it when OS first started. Getting to 90 took many months of hard work. Lucky you.

The scores did get a little bit easier, but we also made it such that users at score 99 can't rest on their laurels, because their score can go down. I would argue we've upped the ante in that regard. :P

I can't recreate the exact state of the DB when you first reached 99, but odds are the medal counts were a little low on your profile. (There were some bugs with that shortly after the initial SS release.)
