Refer to the link: http://i29.tinypic.com/2ptdt1u.gif A.) Which numbered locations on the neuron are at the resting potential? Why? What are the predominant ions inside and outside of the neuron? B.) Which numbered location on the neuron is showing an action potential? Why? C.) At which numbered location on the neuron is the cell membrane permeable to sodium ions? Explain the response of the sodium-potassium pump in your answer. D.) What happens when an action potential reaches location 4 on the neuron? E.) At what numbered location is the neuron's response mostly chemical? W

so far for A and B i have: A.) The number on the neuron that is at the resting potential is number 1, because it is negatively charged on the inside, "with respect to the outside of the neuron." The predominant ions inside and outside of the neuron are Potassium (K+) which is inside and Sodium (NA+) which is outside. B.) Number 2 location on the neuron is showing an action potential. It is showing an action potential because it "begins when a stimulus, such as a signal molecule, causes a local change in the membrane potential to a more positive value." Wasnt sure if i was correct or not.. Please help :)
