describe the relationship between graphs of f and g. consider amplitude, period and shifts. f(x)=cosx g(x)=cos(x+π)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as far as period of cosx is concerned, its 2pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i figure out the shift?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)= cos x amplitude = 1 period = 2π horizontal shift = 0 (none) g(x)= cos(x+π) amplitude = 1 period = 2π horizontal shift = -π f(x) and g(x) have the same amplitude and the same period, but function g shifts the f(x) graph π units to the left.
