What inference can correctly be drawn from the diagram shown below? All of these birds share a common ancestor. All of these birds adapted to the same conditions. All of these birds developed at roughly the same time. All of these birds produced similar offspring.

I think it's A: All of these birds share a common ancestor.

It's definitely not B: eg. they have different beaks adapted for different food. or D... there is no reason to infer their children will look the same.

Do you? As PaxPolaris explained, you can narrow down the right answer by looking at which ones you can eliminate because they don't make sense.
