What method(s) would you choose to solve the equation? Explain your reasoning. 2x2 +4x - 3 = 0

I would use the quadratic formula because factoring wouldn't work here no matter how you factor { (2x-3)(x+1) or (2x-1)(x+3)} \[x = (-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac})/2a\]
