well the question say find the equation of the secant line that passed through the graph of \[f \left( x \right)=x ^{3} \] at x=-3 and x=4.

This isn't derivatives. You just have to determine the two coordinates lying on the graph at the two values of 'x' given, and find the equation line passing through them.|dw:1341620624837:dw| Hmm, so what's the value of 'y' when c=-3 and when x=4?
