i have a few questions about the-nest: 1) what is pending merge request? are those the features that you're planning to release in the future? 2) What is merged request since last production merge? Are those the features already released? 3) Why did the "merged request..." section suddenly go blank? Source: http://openstudy.com/the-nest
Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that a "merged request" is a certain feature that has been edited into the code, but in some form so that it doesn't effect the site yet. Eventually, these merged requests go live in the actual website that we all see (usually in bulk), and we get to see the effects of each of the edits to the code. Pending merge requests are things that are yet to merged into that alternate code. The section went blank because the merged requests that were there, went live on this site. Now I wait for shadowfiend or farmdawg to correct me.
i see i see...what does it mean when something disappears from pending merged requests? they canceled it?
I think when they disappear from that, it simply gets moved to the Merged Requests area.

if i close this question will the admins still see it and comment on your comment @KingGeorge ?
I'd probably leave it open until they respond to it. I know I don't regularly check the closed questions.
okay :(
KingGeorge nailed it. No further comment necessary (except that it is possible to close a pull request without merging it for the live version of the site; we haven't done that very often though).
i see thanks..that cleared some misconceptions.
