need helpppp matching these things--- Biased sample convience sample unbiased sample self selected sample stratified sample systematic sample not representative of the entire population sample where members volunteer to take part sample where every member of the population has an equal chance of being selected sample where representatives are easily accessible sample members are selected through the use of a rule members are selected from the different subgroups within a population

OpenStudy (valpey):

unbiased -> equal chance self selected -> volunteer systematic -> rule stratified -> subgroups convenience -> accessible biased -> not representative

i love you thank you <3333

Unbiased is something of an ideal state, you can randomly pick lottery balls, but you can't randomly call people (not everyone has a phone or would answer for example) Self-Selected is where the people studied are self selecting to participate Systematic selection is where you intentionally choose a certain sample (like you are trying to study cancer patients and compare them to non-cancer patients, you are going to need a rule, or a list of cancer patients, for that) Stratified is where you know you need to survey equal numbers of men, women, people 18-25, 25-40, 40-65, 65+ etc. so you classify by subgroups. Biased is any way that you dirty up the selection process.
