What the difference between ln & Log theoretical ?? I just want to know ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ln is \[\log_{e} \] so since mathematicians are lazy they made a whole new notation for it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mainly it kept showing up so instead of writing it every time they made a notation for it. e is the real culprit. Like pi it was found to be a natural number(hence natural log) that kept showing up like pi kept showing up in a circle. where e came from exactly im not sure. it has something to do with an infinite sum that became e
