I was wondering why there are more study groups than are listed under "Find More Subjects". For example, the LaTeX Practicing group that I found today that isn't listed.
LaTeX Practicing group is an unofficial group. unofficial groups cannot be found in the Find More Subjects since the ones in it are only official groups
does that help? :)
Yes. :) Is there a way to find these groups?
only way is to get a link or get tagged into it or you can search people's profiles for links on the groups they joined
That seems to be a major barrier to entry. They should show up in a search surely?
I don't think that theyvshow up in the search.
I meant -- "Surely they aught to change that" :-)
lol they do that because the "unofficial" groups typically aren't in high demand by other users and/or they aren't really "educational".
True. Then why does it seem like so many people know a lot more of the groups than me XD Probably just not plugged in :)
links and networks my boy..they are well connected...some stalk other people's profiles and see the groups they have joined
lol @lgbasallote I usually get the links, but if I hear someone talking about their "secret group no one knows about" I'm like bwaha orly? xD
Ok. Thanks :)
no one really does...
