ok, Find the difference. (6x3 + 18x2) - 3x2 = A. 21x2B. 21x3C. 3x3 + 15x2D. 6x3 + 15x2

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

Same thing as the last question 6x^3 + 18x^2 -3x^2 just think of what is 18-3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its b but what do i know haha its b or a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 15 so never mind! haha its c or d?

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

the x^3 stays the same.

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

x factors are only affected by ones with the same exponent. x^2 + x^3 != 2x^2 or 2x^3 it's still x^2 + x^3 For example, lets say x = 2 2^2 + 2^3 wouldn't be what I mentioned above, it would be 4 + 8 If it was 2x^2 then it would be 2*4 which is 8 and 2x^3 would be 8 * 2 which is 16.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it d?

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sweet! haha thank you

OpenStudy (konradzuse):

yup
