A view of Anytown, USA is shown on the grid below with Rock Park represented by quadrilateral RSTU. Due to overcrowding, another park will be built similar to Rock Park. Vertices A and D are plotted on the grid to represent two corners of new Sandstone Park. What could be the ordered pairs representing vertices B and C of quadrilateral ABCD so that Sandstone Park is similar to Rock Park? B(6, 6), C(5, 5) B(9, 3), C(8, 2) B(10, 4), C(9, 3) B(5, 4), C(5, 3)

I think what they want you to do is to compare AD to RU and realize that AD is half the length of RU, and then apply the same ratio to the other sides of the quadrilateral to figure out where B and C is. You can just eyeball it though :)

would it b C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I think it is, yes.

Okay thank you :D

No problemo. Don't forget to close the page and award medals if you deem a post worthy. (No, I don't believe I deserve one for saying "eyeball it" lol!)
