Pentagon TUVWX on the coordinate plane below represents the new emblem of a nationwide restaurant chain. Congruent emblems must be created so they may be duplicated at every restaurant within the chain. If three of the vertices of the congruent emblem are located at Y(7, 10), Z(11, 7), and A(9, 3), where are the missing two vertices located? A) B(7, 6) and C(2, 7) B) B(8, 7) and C(3, 8) C) B(7, 7) and (2, 8) D) B(8, 8) and C(3, 9)

if you go by the orthodox method, its gonna be very boring and tiring.. you may do this : slope of TX = slope of Y and other vertex => (5-3)/(5-1) = (10-y)/(7-x) on comparison, you see only 2nd option matches.. altough if you're not very comfortable with the concept,i recommend you should go on to find every co-ordinate by the orthodox method..

im still lost but thanks tho

this is easy, its a translation, the figure has been moved 2 units to right and 5 units up notice point A corresponds with point V --> 7+2 = 9 and -2 +5 = 3 to find B and C, take points X and W and add 2 to horizontal and add 5 to vertical coordinate

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

lol..yes..easiest way of all..

i think i got it (: B ?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

correct, its B

thankyou(:
