(9 - 5i) - (4 + 10i) 9 - 5i - 4 - 10i Now combine the real parts and the imaginary parts separately.
Real parts: 9-4 = ??? Imaginary parts: -5i - 10i = ???
how do you combine the imaginary parts??? just add the numbers and forget about the i?
yes, so you basically say -5-10 and you stick an "i" at the end of the result
oh okay so my answer to the problem would be 5-15i?
