Determine if the lines that pass through the given points are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Line A: (-3, 5) and (0, 7) Line B: (6, 2) and (9, 4). so its Neither right? Because there both 2/3

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Lines having same slope are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait.. nevermind.. cuz neither is both positive and negative right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope is the inclination of a line. A line with higher slope is more "vertical" or steeper. So if you have two lines with equal slope, they have the same steepness i.e. they are parallel

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Let their slopes be m1 and m2 if they are parallel \[m1=m2\] if they are prependicular \[m1=\frac{-1}{m2}\] any other relation in neither :)
