I would like to be notified if 'my fan of' list post a question.

I would like to be notified when people on 'my fan of' list post a question.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think that's an interesting feature

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. Usually a user fan others so that he can keep a track of them, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have some friends here and would like to be keep up to date.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yeah. i fan a lot of people who are actually interested to learn and i would really like to see if they ask question so i can help them immediately

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As long as it is an option that can be turned off, I would support this. I'm a fan of too many people for me to be likely to leave it on most of the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Woah, that's alot. I'm thinking for those who fan a few number of people only. For example, classmates, siblings, or people who study the same subject.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. I fan a lot of people because I have my settings such that I have to be a fan of someone in order for them to be able to message me. So, I fan anyone that I want to be able to message me. So this idea would be problematic for me if I could not turn it off. If I can turn it off, though, it would be cool, and maybe I would keep it turned on some of the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I think the option should be given to the asker.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

do you mean everyone a person fanned will get notified if he asks a question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know about you but for some people they might be overwhelmed by the notices they get of fans posting questions. So there should be the option of the asker to make that question much easier to have access to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or maybe have the asker pick a short list of people they want to notify about their question. I think that will be better since I know there are a few people that can help me with a specific problem and I know others who can help me with a completely different problem so it seems like too much to notify a person you are a fan off if you know they can't answer it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

know what I mean?

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Interesting. Yeah I think if we implemented this we'd have to default it to off. I like the idea for sure though.
