what type of number is e?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a transcendental, irrational number. It's also a pretty cool guy, because eh derives to the same thing, and doesn't afraid of anything.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

do you mean like that e is irrational?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Minor correction; I mean e^x derives to e^x.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

he's also not afraid of the integrator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean transcendental?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but the integrator has that "gotcha" constant. @lildancermjk A transcendental number is a number that isn't algebraic; it cannot be expressed as a root of a polynomial function that doesn't itself use transcendental numbvers.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

^wiki lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Noob, I use Google.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

im a hipster

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so do you get it @lildancermjk ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thanks!
