Please Help:) The value of 'k' for which the roots of equation (x-1)(x-5)+k=0 differ by 2 is??? @lgbasallote @waterineyes @Hero @UnkleRhaukus :)
do u know the formulas for sum and product of roots for a quadratic equation?
im talking with myself :D
use this \[(a+b)^2-(a-b)^2=4ab\]
He is offline..
Got answer for these problem??
@waterineyes Plz tell the question in HINDI :)
Okay... Yeh question (prachhan) keh raha hai ke agar is equation ke roots ka difference 2 hai to "k" ki value pata lagaayein... Logically, Quadratic equation ke do roots hote hain, to unka difference hamein given hai as 2, agar main ek root ko a maanta hu aur dusre ko b to: a - b = 2 (Given) Getting? Samajh aa raha hai tumko Viper??
yes:)
aage kya hoga @waterineyes ??
Tumko pta hai agar hamaare paas standard equation hai: \[ax^2 + bx + c = 0\] To tumko pta hai ke Sum of roots ka formula kya hota hai?? Aur product of roots ka kya hota hai??
Sum of roots=-B/A Product of roots=C/A
Yes.... Ab jo hamein equation given hai uske liye sum of roots aur product of roots nikaalo.. Pehle (x-1)(x-5) ko multiply kar lena..
k thanx a lot:)
