OpenStudy (angela210793):

1 perhaps???

Parth (parthkohli):

Yes. @angela210793 is right. Let me go for the explanation.

OpenStudy (angela210793):

i am not sure wht she's looking for O.o

Parth (parthkohli):

\(x^2 + 2x + \underline{}\) First split this into something like: \(x^2 + 2 \times x \times \underline{} + \underline{}\) For the record - \(( a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2\) So \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow 2 \times x \times \underline{} = 2x }\) Divide 2x from both sides \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow \underline{} = 1 }\)
