When a transversal intersect two parallel lines then the adjacent angles are always same.

then show the alternate interior to 1 

then you have 1 + 2 are supplementary. 


you could show the corresponding angle to 1 then 1 + 2 are supplementary on the transversal. 

2 is interior alternate to 3 then 1 + 3 are supplementary
