Michelle: Joshua lied when he said Nathan did not do it.

Yes, Joshua broke the vase. Only one statement is false. Check what happens when each statement is false. If statement 1, 2, or 4 were false, then other statements would also have to be false. Only statement 3 can be the unique false statement. So, Joshua broke the vase.
