Which list shows the mean, median, mode, and range in ascending order for the set of data below? 23, 15, 35, 31, 45, 19, 15, 22, 27, 41, 30, 24, 44, 15, 19 mean, median, mode, range median, mode, mean, range mode, median, mean, range mode, mean. median, range

OpenStudy (valpey):

Mean is the average (add them up and divide by the number of data points). Median is the middle value. If you arranged the data points in order, it is the number where half the points would be above and half below. Range is the difference between the largest value and the smallest value.

OpenStudy (valpey):

Technically (and what your idiotic textbook is suggesting), the mode is the value in the data which repeats most frequently, but this is a contemptible way to simplify a very elegant principle of random variable distributions.

OpenStudy (valpey):

So try calculating some of these and I will give you feedback.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@miadeex can you first arrange the data in ascending order??

OpenStudy (valpey):

That will certainly be a helpful place to start (but you can calculate the Mean without doing that).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If firstly we can arrange data then we find the mean then also.. And it will be easy too find other values too..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@waterineyes 15,15,15,19,19,22,23,24,27,30,31,35,41,44,,45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tell me what is the middle term here??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you are right.. Median is the middle one.. Now can you find mean??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

howw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tell you.. Have patience.. Can you add all the data??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did not you get @miadeex ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you sum up every data: \[15+15+15+19+19+22+23+24+27+30+31+35+41+44+45 = ?\; ?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

405 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This much time to add these data.. Anyways, now can you count total number of data??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i just did 405

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not saying to add these data.. I said to count these data.. For example: if the data given is: 5, 10, 15 Sum = 30 Count or number of data = 3 Getting??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Noo lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

counting means count the data like 1, 2, 3, 4 etc and tell me total number of data?? Not getting??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will show you how to do this: |dw:1341890243730:dw|
