If you have a 2-pin microphone diode and a 3-pinout 3.5mm audio jack. How do you connect the wires to make it work?

3 pin audio jacks are for stereo connections, 2 channels of audio. So one connection is ground, one is left audio and the last is right audio. The 2 pin microphone diode will only output a single signal. So you would connect the anode of the diode to GND, and the cathode to either of the other pins, or both.
