Problem Set 1A-9 c) the answer only gave examples of g(x) at x=0,4,8 but any other value beyond these points don't fall on the graph at all. Anyone can help?

Please clarify your question: Are you asking about the extension of the function, as asked in b)? Or are you asking for the details on how to manipulate the graph according to the equation in c)?

For reference, the question 1A-9 is this: a) Graph the function f that consist of straight line segments joining the points (−1, −1), (1, 2), (3, −1), and (5, 2). Such a function is called piecewise linear. b) Extend the graph of f periodically. What is its period? c) Graph the function \[g(x) = 3f((x/2) − 1) − 3\].

Thanks a million! I miss-read the question! I didn't realize that the f(x) in a) is the same f(x) in c). Sorry if I wasted your time.
