I'm doing something wrong here I think...

Q: Eliminate the parameter to find a Cartesian equation:
x = 1 − t$^2$, y = t − 5, −2 $\le$ t $\le$ 2

A: Using substitution...
x = 1-(y+5)$^2$
"-y$^2$-10y-24" is showing as incorrect on this homework thingy

"x=-y$^2$-10y-24

Arg!  Computers are soooo literal
