Hello i need help please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean? as in from your workings. I assume that you have to show the various transformations. Some which you have drawn is rotation, reflection and dilation (no idea there was a dilation). So do you need to draw a new figure that shows Scaling? or do you want the scale factor for the dilation figure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes to which question. be more clear please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the scale factor of the original figure on quadrant 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Firstly, do you understand what is scale factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cant figure out how to find on this figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You cant find because the question is wrong. Asking for the scale factor for the original figure doesn't make sense. If given the original figure and the dilated figure. Then give the question: What is the scale factor? The scale factor will be based on the comparison on the 2 figures. Thus the answer is 1/2. Since the dilated figure is scaled by half as compared to the original. So scale factor only make sense when making a sort of comparison.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O alright. Misinterpret

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By the way, i am mistaken the dilated figure is not even scale 1/2. It is scaled half only in the x-direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yea you might want to look at the question again, to see if you misread or misunderstood anything.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the dialation what was the scale factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 in the x-direction only.
