The length of a rectangular room is 7.9 m and its width is 8.6 m. Find the area of the room. Do i just do 7.9 + 7.9 + 8.6 + 8.6 to get the area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That'll give you the perimeter of the rectangle. To find the area you use \[Area=length\; *\; breadth\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i times both of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup.
