A rectangular garden 12m long and 10m wide consists of a rectangular lawn boarded with flower beds of the same width round the two longer sides and one of the shorter sides. If the area of the flower bed is half the area of the garden, what is the width of the flower bed???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A rectangular garden 12m long and 10m wide |dw:1341969559354:dw| You do know how to draw and label a rectangle. "boarded with flower beds" should be "bordered with flower beds"
