Explain the effect that "h" has on the function f(x) = a(x − h)2 + k.

You can do this with geogebra. 1) create a slider, name it "h". 2) create another slider, name it "k". 3) Type "a(x-h)^2+k" into the input bar Then see what changing "h" does to the equation. :)

h = x vertex point and the k = y vertex point. so if h is changed the vertex x point will change and vise versa with the k, which is the y vertex
