Using the domain values {-1, 0, 4}, find the range values for relation y=2x-10. Range={-11, -10, -6} Range={12, -10, 2} Range={-12, -10, -2} None of the above

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

just replace the three values you are given for x (you domain) in order to compute the corresponding values for y, what you get will be the range for the function you're given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and none of the above have -9 so its none of the above.. am i correct ?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

you have three values for x: -1, 0 and 4 none of them gives you y=-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i plugged - 1 in to x and solved and got -9

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

what about the 2 multiplying x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

so?
