I think you need to find the parameter of the two shapes and add them. THis will be the minimum length of molding that you will need

The key word is similar.  Since we were given both dimensions of the smaller picture, we can find the width of the larger one.  Remember your ratios for similar figures:

a/b=x/c

In this case, I think the width of the larger picture is about 37.5.  Add up the lengths,and find out how many sections you will need.
