find the vertex: y=x2 + 14x - 7

OpenStudy (nottim):

do you kno how to find the x?

OpenStudy (nottim):

just find the midpoint between them for the x value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's a quadratic relation though

OpenStudy (nottim):

well, do that thing where you find 2 numbers that add to the middle and multiply to the end. if that doesn't work, do complex trinomial,s then try tghe quadratic equation if all else fails.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh, so after i find the 2 numbers, what do i do to find the vertex?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i add them then divide them by 2?

OpenStudy (nottim):

yup. forgot how you find the y value tho. srry

OpenStudy (nottim):

some max/min value thing

OpenStudy (nottim):

sorry. i went to eat.
