A disorder of the nervous system is any condition which leads to the impairment/damage of the central or peripheral nervous system in our bodies - these include the organs: brain, spinal cord, eyes, ears, sensory organs of taste/smell/receptors (located in our muscles, joints and skin). These disorders can happen in a variety of ways, from trauma to autoimmune disease. They include vascular disorders (stroke), infections (meningitis), structural disorders (spinal cord injury), functional disorders (epilepsy), degeneration (Parkinson's Disease).
