The Symbol that looks like "U" means : Union .. as in A 'union' B

And the other one means : "Belongs to" .. as in a belongs to R .. b belongs to R ..

for example you have A(1,2,3, 4) and B {5,6,7,8}

AUB = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8}
