What are the Lateral Edges of the triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of a triangle? Or of a pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i got confused with two. im supposing a pyramid cuz of the numerous sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok...I don't think of a triangle as having "lateral edges". Lateral edges of a pyramid are the edges that connect the base to the "top" vertex...so what do you think would be a lateral edge in that picture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XP would be one of them right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, no...XP is not an edge at all. It's coming out of the center of the base. Edges have to be on the outside of the shape. But you're on the right track.
