Can someone recommend a differential equation book? I forgot the name of the one I was using and I want to refresh my memory and have a hands on source just in case I forget things.
This is the book my school uses for all of it's diffeq classes. http://www.amazon.com/Elementary-Differential-Equations-Boundary-Problems/dp/0470383348/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342061408&sr=8-2&keywords=elementary+differential+equations Covers ODE, PDE, Systems, and more that I haven't studied
since you know the subject the I would recommend this book. Engineering mathematics by H.K.Dass
@abstracted That's the book I used :D
Nice, I'm using it right now for my PDE class... fun lol
Looking back and reading the reviews I did find this book difficult to follow. So if anyone would recommend a different book....
I don't have a professor to go to now since I'm reviewing it on my own so something easier to follow would be nice
The book was a little hard to follow, I also used the diffeq for dummies book in conjunction with the text book for that reason
I always recommend two sites... the easy version: http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/DE/DE.aspx and the heavy version: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-03sc-differential-equations-fall-2011/
not books really, but hopefully still helpful
@TuringTest thanks I always used paul's note as a back up :D but I really want something I can pick up and read....
