can a grand unified theory of everything be there?

It might be possible if we can work at it long enough with humanity's brilliance in play. However, it may fall into either the fact is that we can never have an idea and that the universe is completely random and can't be predicted beyond a certain boundary. Or we may all be forever whittling away at some kind of idea that is more accurate but never satisfyingly accurate. We have been getting chunks and chunks of more reasonable ideas but we may only have those chunks and tiny pieces of the puzzle. But the idea of a grand unified theory may certainly be plausible. For centuries we thought that we could never understand flight - the magic of the birds or thunder - the roars of mythic legends. But know we have proven that there is some order rather than random musings Now we stand at a bend - the universe may be largely logical yet ultimately it may follow some random schemes. There is no reason to lose hope yet for the grand unified theory of everything.

I definitely like this line of thought, and on a personal note, have a firm belief in the GUT. May be we won't find it to be exactly as we had expected, but then, truth often turns out to be the unexpected.
