OpenStudy (anonymous):

What number must you add to complete the square? x^2 + 2x = 9

OpenStudy (hba):

1 ON BOTH SIDES

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is a good tutorial to show you how http://www.purplemath.com/modules/sqrquad.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hba that asker just posted another question that is exactly the same as this one.....you need to explain so they can learn how to do it

OpenStudy (hba):

@Romero I EXPLAINED HIM THE LAST TIME BUT HE KEEPS ON POSTING QUESTIONS AGAIN AND AGAIN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then why do you keep answering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you explained it well then the person should be able to answer the question by themselves.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are there any rules that govern use from not just giving the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is in the code of conduct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do they enforce it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since there is a large diversity here, I think it would be hard to enforce.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am glad they have changed their policy. They used to not care if you gave the answer. Under a different account that I had long time ago, I actually spoke out against open study members just giving the answer and said this site will be labeled as a cheat site if it continued on its current course.
