mica and denise are reading the same novel. Mica reads 1/2 of the novel. Denise reads 1/3 of the novel. How much more of the novel has mica read than denise? is it 25, 35, 56 or16

Change both fractions so that they have the same denominator. Then subtract. BTW, I'm assuming that's 2/5, 3/5, 5/6, 1/6 in your question?

Mica has read 50% of the book. Denise has read 33.33% which is approx 34%. so Mica has read 16% more of the book than Denise. Only that's how one can get a whole no. so the answer should be 16 i think.
