\[\LARGE \frac{3}{10}+\frac{1}{3}\] Anything times 1 = the same number, right? X*1=X 1 can be rewritten as a fraction, e.g. 1/1, 2/2, 3/3, etc. since anything divided by itself = 1 (with the exception of 0/0). Multiply each fraction by a form of 1 so that the denominator of each fraction is the same.
