What is the volume of a square pyramid with base edges of 20 meters and a height of 30 meters? a.600 m3 b.12,000 m3 c.4,000 m3 d.1,800 m3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h = 30 b = 20 \[\LARGE v = \frac{1}{3}b^{2}h\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Am i suppose to multiply the base x height ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First you need to square the base edge. Squaring the base edge gets you the area of the base, so you could rewrite the equation like so: \[v=\frac{1}{3}(\text {base area})(height)\]

i think its B when i solved it.

:) ! Thanks

Not quite. Need to multiply by (1/3)
