OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops 8 units for the length of AD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15 units 18 units 7 1/5 units 11 1/4 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are the answer options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so the similar figure is drawn to a different scale, not just rotated. *bites lip* i Can't do this without the diagram in front of my face so, sorry

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

use ratios of corresponding sides \[\frac{AB}{SR} = \frac{AD}{SP}....... \frac{10}{8} = \frac{AD}{9}\] then \[AD = \frac{10 \times 9}{8}\] I'll let you find the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

hope it helps
