The formula for degrees Celsius is: C = 5/9 (F − 32), where F stands for degrees Fahrenheit. Part 1: Solve the formula for F. Show all steps. Part 2: Determine how many degrees Fahrenheit 4 degrees Celsius is.

OpenStudy (across):

I mean... you're basically given everything:\[C=\frac59(F-32)\\\frac95C=F-32\\F=\frac95C+32\]Can you do the second part yourself?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm im kinda confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i got the answer...

OpenStudy (shane_b):

What did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got the formula but for part 2 i got 39.2

OpenStudy (shane_b):

That's correct. 4 degrees celcius = 39.2 degrees fahrenheit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shane_b):
