9^2q-6=3^q+6

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

this is \[(3^2)^{2q - 6} = 3^{q + 6}\] or \[3^{4q - 12} = 3^{ q + 6}\] since they are now the same base equate the powers 4q - 12 = q + 6 3q = 18 solve for q
