Consider the function: f(x) = \frac{3}{x-2} Using a table of values determine the behaviours of the functions near its vertical asymptote. Vertical asymptote is x =2

\[ f(x) = \frac{3}{x-2}\]

OpenStudy (cherylim23):

Sub values of x = 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, and you'll realise it tends to negative infinity. Sub values of x = 2.5, 2.4, 2.3, 2.2, 2.1 and you'll realise it tends to positive infinity. Also, you could reason that anything divided by zero is undefined, so just let x-2 = 0 and solve
