when a dielectric is inserted in a parallel plate capacitor is there a relationship between the electric field produced by the capacitor and the field produced by the polarization of the dipoles in the dielectric

yes there is such relation..i dont remember the exact formula but it can be derived by gauss law (in the form involving displacement vector D) for dielectrics and it will take the dielectric constant into account
