F(x)=log(x-5)+1 What is the domain and range of this function? With explanation/steps please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

do you have an idea on what the domain is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really... I'm not really clear on the domain when it comes to logs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be [5, infinity)? I'm not sure if this is right, I graphed the function onto my calculator

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

If there is a defined log as \[\log_a{b}.\]then b>0

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

therefore to be defined; ur question must have b>0 in log i mean x-5>0 x>5. & it is ur domain becoz at this value of x ur question is defined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks! so the answer i had above would be correct?
