You plug in an extension cord and have to be very careful around the electrical outlet. However, you can handle the extension cord without worry of being shocked by the electrical charge. Which statement best explains why you can do this?
the electrical outlet is made up of conductor on inner side so there may be a chance of spart by contact but extension chord is insulated so no such problem there...
It looks like this is a multiple choice statement...and we don't know the options. At any rate, when you plug in an electrical device there is a chance of being shocked if you accidentally touch one of the prongs as it's connecting to a live circuit. Extension cords are essentially double-insulated which prevents you from coming in contact with any live conductors (assuming the cord is not damaged).
