I need some help with this i stink at stem and leaf plots and i have no idea what to do,
A stem and leaf plot is just away of organizing a bunch of numbers. For example, the first row consists of the number 16 and 18. The second row consists of the number 20, 21, and 27. Out of all the numbers represented, which one is the largest (hint: they're in order!)
I need the answer idk how to do this????
Isaac, I'm not doing to give you the answer. I've told you exactly how to do it. Please try it yourself, and then I'll give you more help if you are still incorrect.
I added the big numbers up and i answered 29 and i dont get the grade until later. So is 29 right???
There's no need to add anything for a stem and leaf plot. It's just a different way of organizing numbers. Look at the first row again. It looks like this: 1 | 6 8 This line means that there are two numbers that start with 1: 16 and 18. The next line looks like this: 2| 0 1 7 This line means that there are three numbers that start with 2: 20, 21, and 27. Basically, a stem and leaf plot is just a list of numbers organized by their first digit. So which is the largest number? Just look at the data and find the largest number...you don't need to do any math.
Ohh i get it thanks alot so the biggest number is 45 thanks.
Yes! Exactly. Good job.
